Repeat Prescriptions
As a rural practice we are allowed to dispense medication to the majority of our patients. We cannot dispense to those living in Penrith and Appleby if they live within one mile of a chemist, so these patients will be issued with a printed prescription. If you require your prescriptions to be posted to you, please provide us with a supply of stamped, addressed envelopes.
How to Order Your Repeats
Repeat prescriptions may be issued without seeing the doctor. Your request can be made by leaving a message on the answer phone on 017683 61530. We require your name, date of birth, and the list of medication you need. If you are an Appleby or Penrith patient, please state if you will collect the prescription from the surgery or if we have SAE’s for posting.
It helps us if you tick the drugs you require on the printed list from your previous prescription and return this to the surgery.
Alternatively you can now order online via the link at the top of this page. First time users are required to complete a simple registration.
Queries
If you have any queries regarding your medication, you can speak to one of the Dispensers between 12:00 and 13:00, on 017683 61530.If you ring during this time and still get the answer-phone, please try again as we may be on the phone to another patient. If you experience any problems with our service, please ask to speak to the Dispensary Manager Donna Simpson.
Medication Reviews
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
